After studying biology in Mainz, Niels focused his doctoral thesis on individualized tumor immunology. He is the revolving door between the customer and external experts, such as gynecologist and fertility experts which advise us by the further development of mHealth. He is responsible for inquiries, analyses and consulting around the cycle. One of his main objectives is, to bundle scientific information and provide it to our customers. Niels is the author of several puplications and has presented scientific results at various international conferences.

Dr. med Martin C. Koch is a member of the German Society for Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGGG) After studying medicine in Heidelberg and several stays abroad, Martin became a senior physician at the Erlangen University Hospital. As a member of the Advisory Board of VE, he designs and performs new research around fertility tracking and corresponding overall physiological changes.

Petra Schenke
Cycle Expert

Petra is a certified NFP (Sensiplan) consultant and helps you with everything you ever wanted to know about fertility awareness based methods. In our team, Petra is responsible for answering questions around your cycle and helping you better understand your temperature curves. Petra answers questions about cycle myths, disturbances and can help you find the right timepoint to conceive.

Dr. Rebecca Simmons
Dr. Rebecca Simmons
Scientific Advisor

Rebecca Simmons, PhD, MPH is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Utah in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Simmons directs the evaluation for the statewide contraceptive initiative, Family Planning Elevated, and works on other implementation research. Her research interests and expertise include fertility awareness-based methods, comprehensive contraceptive access, health technology, and implementation science.

Liya Haile
Scientific Advisor

Liya manages research and programmatic activities for mobile health solutions at the Institute for Reproductive Health at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Liya has worked in fem technology research for several years, and her experiences include leading the Dot app efficacy study and monitoring and evaluation of the CycleBeads app in several African countries. Prior to joining IRH, Liya‘s also has research experience and interest in reproductive biology, specifically IVF and other assisted reproductive technologies.
